To date, Chaffetz has been the only candidate in the district to indicate that he would "sponsor legislation to make English the official language of the United States government" if elected to Congress. "Jason Chaffetz has demonstrated that he is willing to bring Americans together through the common language of English rather than trying to separate them along language lines," said Mauro E. Mujica, Chairman of U.S. English, Inc.
